Bishop Gene RobertsonLove Free or Die - a PFLAG fundraiser at The Edge 12 Theaters on Wednesday, June 6, at 7:30 — wine and hors d’oeuvre reception starting at 6:45. Join us for the Alabama movie theatre premiere of “Love Free or Die,” winner of the Special Jury Prize Documentary at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. “Love Free or Die” chronicles the life and struggles of Bishop Gene Robinson, the first openly gay bishop in the Episcopal Church. $20.00 in advance and $23.00 the day of the screening. A contemporary photography exhibit that honors the complexities of lesbian family life by revealing authentic moments. Living in Limbo is historically significant in that it is the first exhibition at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute focused on the LGBT community.
