Birmingham’s 9th Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) festival took place on November 2, 2011.This festival honors the Hispanic tradition in which families gather in local villages and cemeteries to remember and celebrate their lost loved ones.
PFLAG Birmingham participated this year for the first time. Our altar commemorates those who have lost their lives to suicide due to bullying.The title of our altar is: STOP THE BULLYING NOW
